Pathfinder 01: SPARK1 ME≠WE Workshop
Pathfinder completed 2nd workshop, SPARK 1 ME≠WE on Thursday. Though participation was low, it was rich in conversations and meeting ME≠WE objectives; It is about increasing our sensibility for disconnectedness of ME in respect to the collective WE ecologically, socially, and spiritually. We reflect on the ‘why’ we are disconnected and become curious for connectedness.
It started with offerings our prayerful hopes and concerns acknowledging again we co-create a safe space for everyone's meaningful learning. A meditation led by Tanya was powerful to imagine being in 2040 when our living environment has been drastically affected by climate crisis and not recognizing each other. Yet we met our own future-self to have a intimate and intense conversation about a journey ahead. A participant shared that "I found myself looking exhausted, so I asked myself if I am burning myself too much which led me to think that I should balance my life better." It prepared ourselves to realize disconnectedness and strong desires to be connected to face our reality. It was more conversational to understand the Pathfinder Compass while learning how to use them to observe and assess their pathfinder capacities. We also made WE side of My Mobius pondering the reality, strength, and vision of our own community (WE). It was insightful when Fr. Akhil mentioned that it’s eye-opening to realize that the most of WE is depending upon ME, personal actions. Joanne's visual sensemaking offered an awesome chance to co-sense the collective outcomes of the workshop; disconnectedness yet awareness of birding interconnectedness in all mirror-room like reflective space created with sensible colors and intentional strokes.
This cohort seems to struggle with many challenges, while managing their own full-time obligations, with 6 different timing zones, in-depth content/many tasks, and diverse expectations/needs. Lead facilitators are grateful for everyone's willing contribution so far and holding high-hopes that everyone can experience inner profound change through the process whatever the individual challenges are, and eventually everyone's pathfinder capacities will increase one way or another, and bring more confidence in building a vibrant community, which is our common goal, throughout this program.

Cycling on top of Salar de Uyuni Bolivia, World's largest Salt Flat land

This video was made in Bolivia in the Salar de Uyuni, a place where heaven and earth are said to meet. It turns out that for most of the year, the salar (a natural open-air deposit of salt), remains completely dry, but in the rainy season that comes with summer, the site can become flooded. When that happens, the salt flat becomes a kind of mirror that reflects the entire landscape seen on the ground. This is when heaven meets earth.
